Pipe Up has discovered that many of Britain's organs are unplayable, not because of major faults, but because of easily-fixable issues that will only take a day or two of expert attention to put right.

We call these "sleeping beauties".

Sometimes, the church concerned hasn't got the expertise to get the right help, or can't justify spending money on an organ that hasn't been heard for a long time. Or needs a small boost to kick-start its fundraising campaign.
