Looking around it feels like a wave of destruction has hit the island. People are once again faced with hopelessness. The broken bridges, roads, landslide of houses is on a devastating scale and reminds us of the 2006 tsunami. Over 1 million people have been affected islandwide with hundreds dead and hundreds missing.

For our partners Child Action Lanka (CAL), children, their families and staff have been affected in Nuwara Eliya, Gampola, Ududumbara and Kandy. We urgently need your help to support and re-settle them. We have so far been providing hot meals in our kitchens throughout the island and providing a place for people to donate flood relief items which we are distributing to where they are most needed.
