Story
Lots of different people do lots of important things, but when you are very little it can be hard to imagine doing anything very important at all. How can one so tiny make a difference in such a big, busy world?
Well, I am here to tell you a story about how one small boy made a big difference and how he inspired all his friends to make a big difference too, and how you (yes, you!) no matter how small you are, can also make a difference.
Larsen was a normal kid, just like you - he had a mum, a dad, and a little brother - and he loved animals. As Larsen grew, he discovered that he had a poorly eye and he had to spend time in hospital. Larsen had lots of lovely people to look after him who worked very, very hard. One day, he decided he wanted to do something to help. It needed to be impressive, it needed to raise lots of money AND it needed to be fun... And this is when Larsen dreamt up the 'Slideathon' challenge!
What's that? I hear you ask. Well, Larsen used all his superpowers to go down 26 slides in one day! He travelled to water slides, farm park slides and lots of different play parks near his home. Everyone was so impressed, they donated loads of money, which all went to help other children like Larsen.
Since that amazing day, Larsen's little brother, his cousins, his friends, and lots of other children (like you) have joined in with the Slideathon and they have all made a big difference to the lives of children who have to spend time in hospital.
So, this Easter holiday, we want you (no matter how teeny or tiny you are) to help us make a BIG difference. We want you to join our Slideathon! You can go down the same slide 26 times or you can choose 26 different slides to go down, it doesn't matter - all that matters is that you use your imagination and have fun!
