What can be expected of a SMILE visit?
SMILE is offered to Prama's most vulnerable or isolated clients. SMILE visits are purely about what Prama's clients wish. The time (usually two hours per month), can be used by the clients within their own homes. The client may have physical disabilities, dementia, mental health needs, sensory impairment or learning disabilities.
The visit could encompass something as simple as a cuppa and a chat, or maybe a visit to a special place remembered from childhood.
Examples of things that people do during the SMILE visit:
Reminiscing
Arts and Crafts
Short Journeys out
Baking
Drawing and Painting
Enjoying a Cuppa and a chat
Reading a book
All the things that people take for granted, but things that our most vulnerable clients are unable to do without our support.
