Miley was born with low tone and fast shallow breathing. After several months of genetic testing Miley was given a diagnosis of Ullrich Congenital Muscular Dystrophy. This is still all very new to us, we are trying to gain as much of an understanding of the condition as possible.

Miley is such a happy little girl. She is a little bit slower at reaching motor milestones than most. However, she has yet to let this stop her. At 9 months old she started sitting on her own and more recently, as she has turned one she is slowly finding the ability to stand on her own two feet with support of the couch!

She wakes up with a smile on her face every day, earning her the nickname Smiley Miley, amongst family and friends.

Miley loves playing with her pet dog Nico, they are thick as thieves!
