Glass Door Homeless Charity coordinates the UK’s largest network of open-access services for people affected by homelessness. Year round we provide support and hope, so people can get off, and stay off the streets. Our vision is a world where no one has to sleep on the streets of London.

Story

St Michael's Wandsworth Common congregation - Alice, Badger, Clemmie, Elena, James, Jess, Kristian, Mark, Mike and Tif - are braving icy water, extreme mud, electricity, rope climbing and much more in aid of Glass Door! And Susi will be there to cheer and support!

Based in London, Glass Door coordinates the UK's largest network of open-access services for people affected by homelessness. During the hard months of winter, Glass Door also provides emergency winter accommodation at partner churches, including St Michael's Wandsworth Common.

Year-round, people find advice and support to end their homelessness through trained caseworkers based at partnering drop-in centres. At our shelters, we offer a safe place to sleep and a nutritious hot evening meal and breakfast for up to 105 guests each night, to support people out of homelessness.

Our vision is a world where no one has to sleep on the streets of London, and we’re working every day to achieve this. By partnering with churches and community centres to provide shelter and support, Glass Door is committed to supporting people get—and stay—off the street.

We believe everyone has inherent dignity, and we welcome those who turn to us as our guests.

We are open to all, space permitting. We do not require our guests to fill in long, complicated forms or prove they have a local connection to gain access to our services.

More details about Glass Door can be found at our website, or social media accounts: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn.
