Story
Hand washing has been a part of Village Health training in Nsanje for years and during last years floods the displacement camps where people had previously been taught 20 second proper hand washing there were no reported cases of dysentery.
Each year the visiting team take small hand soaps to gift to the ladies who attend bible study, the Childrens Bible Club Leaders and others involved in our programmes as for most of them soap, of any kind, is a luxury item.
This year there will be no team visiting because of travel restrictions and therefore no soap given out. However, this year, more than ever, is when our friends in Nsanje need soap!
In addition to soap we have been advised that buckets with taps will make handwashing much easier. Most people in Nsanje draw water from wells making it a precious commodity. These buckets will conserve water as well as making handwashing easier while observing social distancing. Please help us to achieve this - even if you can just fund 1 bar @£1 a bar. The buckets cost £5 each - can we tap you for a tap? Thank you!
