Solent Ski Club is a small charity, run entirely by volunteers, providing access to skiing for those in our community who have additional hurdles to participate in the sport. The club provides specialised equipment and training thus enabling access to a sport to those who live with day to day challenges associated with their disability. Our members come from a large area around Southampton and South Hampshire as there are a limited number of clubs able to provide this type of access to skiing, and we provide a welcoming community of like-minded individuals to promote our sport to those with additional challenges.

To deliver this service the club needs to provide certain items of specialist equipment. The club has now identified a new piece of equipment, the Snow Kart by Tessier (http://www.dualski.com/en/snowkart-kartski/), that would enable members of the club with specific challenges to take more control gaining greater independence when skiing. The club is therefore looking to raise the money to cover this cost along with other equipment needs.
