Our school, described in its most recent Ofsted inspection as 'a happy and effective learning environment' has been a popular and well loved local community school. This year, we reach our 50th anniversary and we are marking the occasion with local history activities in school and with a big 'Golden Fete'. The Golden Fete will be a fun event for current children and their families and also an opportunity for former pupils and staff to get together and reminisce about their Someries Days!

Whilst the event is one of celebration and not a fundraising event, we are seeking donations to help mark the occasion in style. We hope to raise funds to provide:

- high quality commemorative badges for all (designed by our competition winner)

- a jubilee tree to plant on the school field

- a bench to go around the jubilee tree

- a water fountain to give pupils access to drinking water on the school playground

- a dance stage to be used in the celebrations and then be used at break and lunchtimes by the children
