Millions of small children in the UK and elsewhere around the world are staying at home with their parents/ carers without access to the early years activities provided by children's centres, nurseries, schools and community spaces. The potential negative social, educational and cultural impact is huge.
If you are in the fortunate position in which your livelihood and income are not at risk from the current situation and with no possibility of spending money in bars, restaurants, music venues and theatres or on a holiday for a while we are asking you instead to make a donation to this project, helping young children to learn and reducing social isolation for them and their families through music.
We have the skills, musical repertoire, resources and infrastructure in place for us to script, film, edit and produce these videos, and most importantly to maintain production and manage workflow during the pandemic. The network of partners we already have in place around the UK will connect the project to over 45,000 families with young children through their schools, early years providers and children's centres, and that network is growing rapidly on a daily basis.
This Just Giving campaign is part of our fundraising campaign to raise £20,000 in match funding to enable us to produce and release 50 videos over ten weeks to support young children's learning and reduce social isolation during the next three months.
With your donation we can bring the magical experience of Songo's World of Music into the homes of many thousands of children each day bringing some extra joy as well as education into their young lives.
