Story
Positive Action in the Community are very proud to bring you Survival on the Summit, the first mass sleep out event taking place at the top of our area's most infamous landmark... Pendle Hill.
Sponsored by: Silentnight Beds, Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue, Petty's, the Seafood Pub co. & Barley Mow.
Survival on the Summit is a fundraising event by which we aim to raise vital funds and awareness to sustain our Youth Homelessness project; SafeSpace. This is a challenge (not for the faint-hearted) to give an insight and experience of personal struggles with having no place to call home. We wanted to do something that has NEVER been accomplished before, so this really is a Landmark event... Could you be 1 of the 100 to take part?
At Positive Action in the Community (PAC) through our SafeSpace project we work hard to provide support for those young people in Pendle, Burnley and Rossendale who are homeless or facing these circumstances. We provide early intervention support as well as short and medium stay housing and support at high quality, purpose-built accommodation for young people between the ages of 16 and 21.
In 2018 there were over 12,300 young people seeking support for homelessness in the North West - this is more than in London! The funds raised through this event will ultimately improve the support we offer to those in need, and give every soul who walks through our doors the better chance at a better life.
