New Minibus

Help Southfield get a replacement minibus! Ours are old and keep breaking down - we've got 2/3 funded but need to raise the rest. They provide vital transport for our children's activities.

Southfield School is a special school in Hatfield, Hertfordshire for children aged 4-11 with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, speech, language and communication needs. FOSS is the PTA for the school.

Story

Our minibuses are old and unreliable - but are a vital part of offering the children of Southfield the opportunities they need to learn and grow. The learning difficulties of Southfield's pupils mean some will never have been swimming or into the countryside unless it is with school. We're blessed with staff willing and able to organise these trips - but without transport, they just can't happen.

Whether it's swimming, gymnastics or getting out into the community, reliable transport is key to giving our children the chance to take part in activities that support their learning and wellbeing - things that children at mainstream schools take for granted.

We're so lucky that The Variety Club have offered to fund a large part of a new minibus for Southfield - but that leaves the school and FOSS a big gap to fill. Every donation - however big or small - helps us with our target.

Our school vision is to support all children so they thrive during their time at Southfield School and are prepared socially, emotionally and academically for their next steps in education.
