Story
This St. Patrick’s Day, more than five thousand runners will once again take to the streets of Belfast for the SPAR Craic 10k — a celebration of sport, community, and culture at the heart of the city’s festivities - and for 2027 Cancer Fund for Children are thrilled to once again be the official charity partner!
Beginning at Belfast City Hall and finishing in the vibrant atmosphere of Ormeau Park, the SPAR Craic 10k has grown since 2015 into a firm favourite and this year we want you to best your best foot forward to help raise vital funds in support of children and young people impacted by cancer.
It's time to lace up, join the crowd, and experience the energy of Belfast on St. Patrick’s Day 2027. Let's have some Craic!
Every week across the island of Ireland, up to another 10 children and young people (aged 0-24) are diagnosed with cancer. By stepping out with Team Daisy this March, you can help us raise the vital funds needed to help ensure they don't have to face cancer alone.
Funds raised could help provide support to children and young people in their own home, on the hospital ward or bringing them together with other young people going through a similar situation for vital peer support. Or it could help provide a therapeutic short break at Daisy Lodge in Newcastle, Co. Down allowing families to spend time together and reconnect after months of gruelling cancer treatment. Our second Daisy Lodge in Cong, Co. Mayo is currently under construction and due to open in Spring 2027. This second Daisy Lodge will allow us to increase the number of children and parents we support each from from 1,800 to 4,000.
Whichever service your incredible donations will support will make a massive difference, and it simply wouldn't be possible without you.
Please note, Cancer Fund for Children do not own spaces for this event and you must purchase your space through Aisling Events, the official event organiser.
As in previous years, the race is expected to sell out before the early bird rate ends. Early registration is advised to avoid disappointment. You must be aged 15 years or older on the day, to run this race. Participants younger than 15 are not permitted to run.
