From 8-16th September one of our Search Technicians, Emma Burgh, is walking the West Highland Way. 96miles/155km from Milngavie, north of Glasgow up to Fort William and the weather forecast is looking decidedly Scottish! The kit list includes waterproof socks and a full length rain poncho.

Emma is raising money for SSD during this walk so please donate here. She is used to walking on Dartmoor and Brecon in all weather but your support will buoy her no end as she faces Saltire rain, wind and midges!

We appreciate times are hard for all right now but even buying her the equivalent of a flat white or a search dog a tasty sausage by donating all helps Specialist Search Dogs.

These funds will be used to purchase much need Tactical IFAK trauma kits for our volunteers to help Specialist Search Dogs maintain its equipment over the winter months when the call-outs tend to increase.

Specialist Search Dogs is run solely by volunteers who offer their time and highly trained dogs to help families in times of crisis and need.
