Story
Did you know, Spectra is committed to making sexual health education accessible to everyone, including adults with learning disabilities. Many people with learning disabilities miss out on critical information about their bodies, relationships, and sexual health.
Spectra sexual health outreach includes:
✏️ Comprehensive Sexual Health Education: Tailored sessions that cover a wide range of topics, including consent, personal safety, relationships, and how to protect oneself from sexually transmitted infections.
✏️ Accessible Information: We provide information in ways that are easy to understand, using visual aids, simplified language, and interactive activities to ensure that everyone can engage and learn.
✏️ Inclusive, Safe Environment: We believe everyone has the right to be informed about their sexual health, and our education sessions are welcoming to people of all genders, sexual orientations, and learning levels.
Spectra has grown out from the West London Gay Men's Project, established in 1996 to raise awareness with high risk groups and reduce HIV transmissions. Now - we are proud providers of accessible, community based sexual health education and testing alongside peer-led counselling, wellbeing and health advocacy for LGBTQIA+ people, those most unheard in healthcare and many structurally excluded people who don’t have access to healthcare at all.
