Story
Throughout the month of October, babies and toddlers who are members of Turtle Tots swim school, are invited to take part in a week of sponsored water-based activities to raise money for Meningitis Now.
This will be the fifth year that Turtle Tots has supported Meningitis Now, through this much-loved annual Splash Now event.
The creation of Splash Now was inspired following the death of baby, Clara, who sadly lost her battle with meningitis at just 10 months old.
You can read Clara’s story here: https://www.meningitisnow.org/support-us/news-centre/meningitis-stories/claras-story/
Meningitis is a devastating disease that can destroy lives and futures overnight. Families can suddenly be facing life without a loved one. Survivors can be left with lifelong disabilities and complex health issues.
Meningitis Now was founded in Gloucestershire in 1986 by a group of parents affected by meningitis. Since then, our charity has fought this disease relentlessly in the UK by funding research, raising awareness and providing support for people whose lives have been changed by meningitis.
Thank you for getting involved in this year's campaign. The money you raise will help Meningitis Now to reduce the impact of meningitis and ensure that everybody affected gets access to the aftercare they deserve.
