Our vision is to create a village in Tanzania where people with learning difficulties are supported to live as independently as possible. It will be a safe, caring place where they are valued, build lifelong friendships, and feel truly at home.

We plan to build homes where four to five service users can live semi-independently with the help of Support Staff. They may also work within the village in areas such as housekeeping, cooking, gardening, agriculture, animal care, carpentry, and more.

£10 = 20 breeze block or 1.5 bag of cement

£20 = 10 kilos of nails and 20 breeze blocks

£30 = 4 Stone coated metal roof sheets

£40 = 4 ton of building sand

£50 = 5 ton of hardcore brick/sand or 15 bags of cement

£100 = 18 bags of cement or 200 breeze blocks

£500 = 50 cement bags, 350 blocks, 30kg nails, 9 sheets for roofing

We will also build volunteer accommodation, welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds to experience both the warmth of our service users and the incredible opportunities Tanzania has to offer.

To make this vision a reality, we need to build - and build a lot. That is why this campaign is so important, and why your support can make a real difference.

To build a house we will need approximately:

5,500 breeze blocks

220 bags of cement

45 tonnes of sand and hardcore
