From tiny saplings a mighty hedgerow will grow

On March 15th this year, pupils planted a sapling along one side of the perimeter of our school field. Among the tree and shrub types planted were Hawthorn, Hazel, Dog Rose, Crab Apple, Silver Birch and Cherry – a wonderful mix, all kindly donated by The Woodland Trust.

This new area of growth will provide an important sanctuary for local wildlife, a wonderful childhood memory and a beautiful looking barrier which will provide much needed privacy for the children.
