Story
New Life Special Care Babies
New Life provides much needed equipment and services to neonatal units across the UK, helping premature and sick babies receive the very best care when they need it most.
THE SPORTathon FUNDRAISING PROJECT: We will be fundraising for a Neonatal Resuscitaire for The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol.
A Neonatal Resuscitaire costs £21k is a specialist piece of equipment used to provide immediate care to newborn babies who need extra help after birth. It provides a warm, safe environment and brings together the essential equipment needed to help a baby breathe, maintain their temperature and stabilise their condition. This can include oxygen, breathing support, suction and monitoring equipment. It is a vital piece of kit for the Unit as it’s particularly important for premature or seriously unwell babies, allowing the neonatal team to respond quickly and provide potentially life-saving care.
Every donation you make will go to the end cause.
