Peter Phillips and his team of hardworking volunteers are the Folkestone Town Sprucer Project. You will have seen them in their hi-viz jackets at work weeding, cleaning and clearing the paths, pavements and thoroughfares, and picking litter everywhere. They are out in all weathers, sprucing up the town for all of us who live in Folkestone and our visitors. This unique scheme relies on private donations and charitable grants to keep going. We need your help to continue this legacy left to the town by the late David Taylor, its founder, who sadly passed away in December 2017.
The Winter 2018 Appeal
UPDATE: We are super grateful for your donations this winter - we reached over 75% of our target. We have chosen to leave this campaign open so that people can continue to give through the year. keeping Peter and the volunteers sprucing while the Sunflower House Charity Trustees ensure the scheme's long-term future. Without these donations the scheme will not be able to continue.
