Story
Whether your students are running, walking, dancing or something else entirely – if everyone in your class moves just 5 miles across the month of June (that's less than 300m per day!), then together with schools across the UK, we can hit that magic milestone of one million miles.
And whilst we reckon 5 miles is doable for each and every student, we've got a couple of bonus targets for those over-achievers. Across the month, they could take on:
The BIG One – 5 miles – That's less than 300m a day – a challenge, but totally doable, even for those new to running.
The BIG-ger One – 10 miles – Just over 500m each day. Tough enough to keep them moving all month, but completely within reach.
The BIG-gest One – 15 miles – Just under 1km each day. A test of endurance for little legs – but perfect for keen beans.
Or, if you've got any absolute bundles of energy in your class, they can aim even higher – we won't be stopping you.
Whichever distance they choose, The BIG Sport Relief Run is a great opportunity to get your students moving and making a difference. Plus – the extra fresh air, feel-good endorphins and that “look at me go!” feeling can help to boost student wellbeing – all whilst raising money to help people get the support they need to take care of their mental health. It's a win-win!
Go on, be a good sport!
