Help Jason, Frankie and Sloane
3 very special bunnies need some superhumans to help 🤞🏻
We were just catching up on last weeks vet bill and thought today may have gone fairly smoothly with some post op checks, April’s vaccine and a tear duct flush here and there but it’s gone a bit pear shaped 😬
Is there anyone here who doesn’t love our Jason? The chunky guy suffered serious problems back in 2023 which continued into 2024 with multiple surgeries to fix wonky teeth and a retrobulbar abscess. Before that, Jason was surgically treated for entropion and later, tiny hairs that were growing on the inside of his eyelids. He’s been fairly stable for about 12 months but recently has been having issues with his eye again and in generally just seeming off. Instead of clearing with some simple flushing, it’s been getting a lot worse. Today, the puss coming out is green as well as white, thick and everything looks very angry (especially Jason himself). Jason doesn’t have the best vision anyway due to repeated scarring of his eyes from the past.
He’s been admitted pending surgery tomorrow, we’re a bit nervous as to what will be found given his vast history.
He was originally rescued along side spot (RIP spot) in 2022 by Bunny Angels UK, they were living in a blanket box 😭
Jason wouldn’t dream of asking anyone for anything because he’s a tough guy, but sadly he does need some money to help cover his surgery. So we’ll ask for him 🙏
The one and only Mr Frankie savage quickly earn’t his name back in early 2023 when he arrived at SRR with a walloping attitude. Frankie and Fleur came in due to their owner not being able to meet their needs and they were in quite a neglected state. After a good tidy up and some TLC, it was apparent that Frankie had some pretty extreme behavioural issues and we decided he’d stay with us due to this. It’s taken a good 2 years for him to stop attacking and biting people and we think being bonded to a large group has been the turn point for him. He’s less temperamental these days but now seems to be suffering with his physical health. He’s recently seen problems with urination, he’s very snotty and his eyes are very gunky and he has some masses in his anus that are becoming a bit worrying. He’s having biopsies taken so that we can understand better what they might be.
Little baby Sloane has been a recent intake but almost immediately we knew she would be here to stay. Sloane and Sutton (RIP Sutton) came at 10 weeks old, both very sick and in a neglected state that shouldn’t have been possible at their young age. Sloane has damaged eyes both due to trauma and EC, so already doesn’t see very well. She’s not growing, she’s snotty and crusty and at just 16 weeks is now having dental issues 😓
