St Aloysius Revealed

Organised by The Oxford Oratory

Restoring the lost murals of Gabriel Pippet

The Oxford Oratory is a vibrant centre of Catholic life, attracting people of all ages and from every walk of life. We use beauty to raise hearts and minds to God, faithful to the traditions of St Philip Neri and St John Henry Newman. Our church is the centre of Catholic life in the city Oxford.

Story

The stunning sanctuary paintings in our church were completely covered over in the 1950s. Now we need your help to uncover these hidden treasures as we begin to restore the Oratory church — God’s house — to its former beauty and glory.

It will take £20,000 to complete this exciting project, working with Cliveden Conservation — some of the leading conservators in the UK.

Please help if you can. Every donation makes a difference.

If you want to make a gift of £500 or more, please e-mail us at restoration@oxfordoratory.org.uk
