In Bangladesh, maternal mortality is the third leading cause of death. 90% of these deaths are preventable. Maa is an international grassroots charity that aims to improve maternal healthcare in resource-poor settings.

What we do

We provide life-saving pregnancy checks, medication and education to mothers and young women in rural Bangladesh, in hopes of improving maternal healthcare, empowering women and educating the next generation.

Our work

OneMaa is our new primary healthcare model. A revolutionary service that aims to educate a community, specialise a workforce and connect a healthcare system. OneMaa will be powered by our novel digital health platform, MaaConnect that uses technology and training to saves the lives of pregnant women in rural Bangladesh.

At the centre of OneMaa are the Maa Hubs: 7 day clinics providing free Maternal healthcare to any mother that needs it. This April, Maa is excited to announce the first step to establishing OneMaa: Our first ever Maa Hub!
