Story

Every child at St Andrew’s CE Primary School deserves a safe place to play.

But for many children in Eccles, growing up in areas of deprivation, opportunities are limited. With higher than average numbers on Free School Meals, our pupils don’t always get the same chances as others — and the school playground is often the only space they have for fun, exercise, and friendship.

That’s why we’re launching our Playground Project.

We’re raising £1,000 towards a new piece of play equipment that will make a lasting difference to the lives of children at St Andrew’s CE Primary School.

Here’s why it matters:

Physical health → Encourages daily activity, improving strength, coordination, and wellbeing.

Social skills → Gives children the chance to play together, make friends, and learn cooperation and empathy.

Better learning → Research shows play boosts focus and helps children return to class ready to learn.

Inclusion → Modern equipment means children of all abilities can play side by side.

Pride in school → A new playground becomes a visible sign that these children are worth investing in.

💡 Every gift helps and gets us closer to brand-new equipment children will enjoy for years.

Because play isn’t just fun — it’s how children grow, connect, and thrive.

👉 Please donate today and help us give children at St Andrew’s CE Primary School the play space they deserve.
