Nepal Needs Us Now

Nepal has been hit by severe flash floods since August 26, causing tragic loss of life, mass displacement, and widespread destruction of homes and critical infrastructure. Thousands of families urgently need shelter, clean water, food, and medical.

Children4ChildrenNepal (C4CN) was founded in 2012 to work with local partners in Nepal to combat trafficking and assist vulnerable and disadvantaged children. Originally called Freedom Matters, in the last 7 years we have: worked with partners combating trafficking and assisting those affected by it; delivered immediate earthquake relief and provided counselling and support to families and communities following its devastating effects. C4CN works in Nepal with a local partner, Right 4 Children, a Nepalese charity based in Pokhara, working on projects with the most vulnerable sections of society. These projects are providing training in the service industries and helping youths find jobs to support themselves and their families. We are also working with the Nepalese Government in schools to help improve the experience of school life through sports, arts drama and other projects. We are a small, cost-effective NGO managed by trustees who strongly believe that providing improved education and training opportunities for underprivileged children, young people, families and communities, helps to contribute to a safer environment, which is free from child labour, abuse and trafficking.

Story

C4CN Supporting Right4Children’s Urgent Flood Response

Help Nepal’s flood‑hit families survive and recover.

Flash floods have devastated communities in northern Nepal. Your support today provides life‑saving relief to children and families who have lost everything.

What’s Happening in Nepal

Since August 26, 2026, severe flash floods have struck northern border regions of Nepal, causing tragic loss of life, mass displacement, and widespread destruction of homes and critical infrastructure. Communities in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and areas along the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers have been particularly affected.

Search, rescue, and damage assessments are still underway, and the full scale of the disaster is unfolding. Thousands of families urgently need shelter, clean water, food, and medical care.

Who We Are

C4CN is partnering with Right4Children, a trusted Nepal‑based organisation with a proven track record in emergency response, including the 2015 earthquakes and previous flood disasters.

Right4Children has been officially requested by the Government of Nepal to support relief efforts and help mobilise emergency aid for the most affected communities.

Right4Children’s Emergency Response

Right4Children is coordinating closely with local government, community representatives, and emergency partners to ensure aid reaches those who need it most — without duplication.

They are preparing to provide:

Essential drinking water

Food supplies for displaced families

Tents and temporary shelters

Medicine packages and emergency medical kits

Basic relief items for vulnerable children and families

The government has also asked Right4Children to raise additional funds and seek permission from current funding partners to divert 5–10% of existing project funds toward emergency relief and rebuilding.
