It is not only the virus that is the death threat in many communities on lockdown. Young breast-feeding mums, pregnant mums, babies, children and the old and vulnerable are threatened as they have no work and no ability to buy food. This applies to slums, refugee camps, brick making villages, hill tribal groups and remote villages. In Uganda, Pakistan, India, Nigeria, Kenya, Nepal the story is the same and the cries are coming in daily to my phone asking us to help buy essentials. This simple fund raiser is my response. I am asking for small donations as I realise that many have taken a salary cut or are on furlough or have been laid off.
