Story
Stay and Play for pre-schoolers with and without disabilities (including children who are neurodiverse) and their families/carers first started back in 2017 as a weekly session. Now with four sessions a week to choose from, every Stay and Play session is accessible and inclusive so that no child misses out on the opportunity to play, learn, and build friendships together with other children - an essential part of healthy early years development. Although, its not just about benefiting the kids, we also know there can be times when navigating parenthood can be tough and even feel lonely, but Stay and Play helps families to build positive friendships and feel less isolated.
Here’s what a couple of families had to say about us….
We love our time spent at Compass and as a parent always find it easy and welcoming. The staff are amazing and always great with me and the kids and patient with the mess we can make in the cafe!!
This place has saved me on more than one occasion, I know that we are all safe here and if something happens that we will be looked after, and we are always reassured that we are welcome.
If you would like to know more about what else we get up to you can visit us at www.compasswellbeing.org.uk, follow us on facebook.com/compasswellbeingtaunton, or even better come down to our café at Compass Wellbeing on the Belvedere Trading Estate in Taunton and see for yourselves!
