Can you give up your bed for one night to raise funds to end homelessness in Wales?

The STAY:UP challenge is a UK wide event which will see supporters from across Wales, Scotland, and England staying up to end homelessness. Llamau are proud to be the only Welsh charity involved in the event!

The Challenge

Usually at this time of year, we would be planning our Sleep Out event, where our wonderful supporters sleep outside for one night whilst raising funds to support our work. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, we cannot plan for a mass-participation event like this, where potentially hundreds of people will be sleeping in one place. Thats why weve launched the first event STAY:UP challenge!

For the first time ever, were challenging you to STAY:UP all night, for just one night to help End Youth Homelessness!

Take on the challenge of a night-time with your friends, family or colleagues, and cycle, walk, quiz, dance or paint til morning.

Tackle your tiredness, fight the fatigue, banish bedtime and whatever you do, dont fall asleep! However you STAY:UP, your one night without sleep could help a homeless young person turn their life around forever. Will you be #UpForTheNight?

Fundraising

Theres no registration fee, were just asking everyone taking part to aim to raise as much as they can!

Well send you a fundraising kit with hints and tips on how you can smash your fundraising target while staying safe, and lots of activities to do throughout the night.

The Covid-19 pandemic has meant that were not able to fundraise in the same ways we usually do, and were now facing a potential shortfall in income this year of over half a million pounds.

The logistical challenge of continuing to provide our life-changing services along with having to incur additional cost to make sure our colleagues and the people we support have access to PPE and digital equipment, as well as additional staffing costs, means that we need your support more than ever.
