The pandemic has hit our day centre hard. We want to continue to provide vital services for our members but the pandemic is making our reopening difficult. We need your help to keep this vital service running.

The pandemic has hit the Day Centre hard with it having to close for just under a year. During this time a lot of the Day Centres members have moved into residential care homes to get the support they need. The Day Centre can be the only social aspect in some of its members lives. This is why its vitally important to keep the Day Centre open. To allow the Day Centre to continue to offer support to its local community your help is needed to help it through its reopening phase. Without your help the Day Centre may have to close meaning more elderly people in the community are left without the support they need.
Whilst at St. Columbas Day Centre members are be able to socialize, participate in games and activities such as dominoes, scrabble, keep fit and craft sessions. We also have visiting entertainers, speakers and enjoy regular day trips out. Refreshments are available throughout the day and members can enjoy a two course meal at lunch time. We can accommodate up to 27 people each day.
The centre is lucky enough to have its own minibus with a tail lift at the rear for wheelchair accessibility. All health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to.
