The Sanctuary Trust is working hard to give hope to over 900 people suffering homelessness or those under threat of homelessness in the North of Greater Manchester and North Wales. Your donations make a huge difference to their lives, for us to offer a little more than food and shelter.

Story

6 years ago, Stephen was homeless, lost in addiction, and struggling with severe mental health issues. He had nowhere to turn — until he came to Halsall House, a supported accommodation run by The Sanctuary Trust.

The Sanctuary Trust is a homelessness charity, relieving and prevent homelessness and substance abuse problems.

I am doing this for the residents at Halsall. I understand that it is difficult to live a 'normal life', What life is like when addiction is pushed to one side & ignored. I also understand the enjoyment that can be had when we confront addiction, when we learn to keeping running on.

Today, Stephen is not only in recovery — he’s now the Assistant Manager at Halsall House, supporting men who are where he once was.

Why donate?

👉 To give men like Stephen a second chance when they’ve hit rock bottom

👉 To fund activities that help residents break free from isolation and addiction

👉 To show people who feel hopeless that there’s a way forward — that they are not alone

Some of the residents, inspired by Stephen, are now signing up for runs themselves — something many never thought they could do. This isn't just a marathon. It’s a movement.
