About the event

This September we are inviting Luton to walk with us for all the Sheroes in our Community. The women who have survived domestic abuse and are breaking free from patterns of addiction or offending. The women who are determined to do things better for their children. The women who support, mentor and counsel other women to help them turn their lives around one step at a time.

Our family-friendly around Luton's much loved Wardown Park is open to everyone, young and old. As well as the walk, there will be lots more to enjoy including a children's fancy dress competition, family arts and crafts, lawn games and character appearances.

About Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones Luton is a registered charity that supports women experiencing domestic abuse, at risk of offending or struggling with drug and alcohol abuse. Our aim is to provide a safe and compassionate space where women and their children can begin their journey of healing, empowerment, and renewal.

At the heart of our approach is the understanding that recovery is not just about leaving abuse and difficulties behind, but about rebuilding lives — with dignity, strength, and hope.

We offer support tailored to each woman’s needs including one-to-one support, group therapy, counselling, parenting support, and free childcare. This last year we helped 465 women and children in Luton create a better future for themselves, their families, and their community.
