Welcome to the Step Up for HEART UK Challenge! This is your chance to improve your heart health, raise awareness about high cholesterol.
Join the challenge today by gradually increasing your daily steps over a set period. Whether you’re starting with just a few extra steps each day or setting a bigger goal, every step makes a difference. This fun and achievable challenge is designed to show how small, daily improvements can lead to better heart health while supporting HEART UK’s vital work.
Your heart health matters. Walking is one of the simplest and most effective ways to improve cardiovascular health, helping to lower cholesterol, boost circulation, and reduce the risk of heart disease.
By taking part, you’ll not only improve your own health but also help raise awareness about high cholesterol—a major risk factor for heart attacks, strokes, and vascular dementia. HEART UK is dedicated to educating the public and supporting those affected, and your participation will help spread the message that managing cholesterol can save lives.

Set Your Baseline & Goals – Begin by tracking your average daily steps. Then, gradually increase your step count each week:
Week 1: Add 100 steps per day
Week 2: Add 200 steps per day
Week 3: Add 300 steps per day
Track Your Progress – Use a pedometer, smartphone, or step tracker to log your steps and share your journey on your JustGiving page and social media.
Raise Awareness & Fundraise – Ask friends and family to sponsor your step increases. For example:
£1 for every 100 extra steps you take each week
A personal milestone donation (e.g., "When I reach 2,000 steps daily, I’ll donate £10 myself!")
