We provide support, advice and information to women, men and young people who have experienced any form of sexual violence. All of our services are free and we have centres across Cheshire, St Helens & Knowsley.

Story

At RASASC (Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre), we are committed to providing life-changing services to those in need. But with demand continuing to rise—especially among children and young people—we urgently need your help.

The Step Up for Survivors campaign is designed to unite individuals, businesses, and the wider community in supporting RASASC’s mission. Due to the high number of survivors seeking our support, we are in urgent need to recruit specialist staff to help those in need.

Currently, 20% of our referrals are for children under 17, and with demand continuing to grow, we urgently need to increase our staff to keep up. The new roles will ensure that we can provide specialised, compassionate care to some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

Behind every statistic is a survivor whose life has been touched by our services:

“It’s been a really long journey, and we wouldn’t have made it through without your help.” – Female, 15

“It has helped me accept what happened and realise it wasn’t my fault. I now feel in control and confident.” – Female, 26

“I’ve moved from existing to living, finally able to cope after years of struggling.” – Male, 32

In the last year, we’ve supported 2,731 adults and 997 children, but with a 21% increase in new referrals, we urgently need to expand our services to meet this growing demand.

RASASC is a registered charity and we’re always grateful for donations towards our important work, every penny does count and there is no gift too small.

Join Us in Making a Difference for Survivors

There are many ways you can be part of this crucial mission and help us reach our £75,000 goal. Every effort, big or small, contributes to providing life-changing support for survivors of sexual violence. Here’s how you can get involved:

1. Take Part in Fundraising Challenges

Step up for survivors by taking on a challenge that pushes your limits while raising vital funds. Whether it’s our 75,000 Step Challenge, a marathon, a sponsored walk, or any activity of your choice, every step you take will make a meaningful difference. Gather friends, family, or colleagues and turn your challenge into a movement for change.

2. Make a Direct Donation

Your donation can make an immediate impact. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps fund essential support services such as counselling, helplines, and advocacy for survivors. You can choose to make a one-time donation or set up a monthly contribution to ensure continued support for those in need.

3. Awareness Initiatives – Be a Voice for Change

Spreading awareness is just as powerful as fundraising. Help us break the silence by sharing our campaign within your networks—whether through social media, workplace newsletters, community groups, or personal conversations. The more people know about the support available, the more survivors can access help.

4. Partner with Us in Supporting Survivors

Businesses, community groups, and organisations can make a lasting impact by partnering with us. Whether through corporate sponsorships, employee fundraising, volunteering, or workplace training on sexual harassment prevention, your organisation can play a vital role in creating safer communities.

Every action you take brings us closer to a future where survivors receive the care, respect, and justice they deserve.
