Steve was one of the most inspirational figures in my life and certainly influenced the creation of Erskine Arts and wanting to support as many people as possible on their musical journey, to have fun and enjoy life with like-minded people. I first met Steve back in my home village where he had moved from Liverpool and I got my first chance as a young person to hang out in Steves studio and then roadie for LAND lugging gear and doing coffee runs for the band. Steve and I ended up becoming great friends for life with a shared love for Wilko, Goldfrapp and Kraftwerk we jammed together, spoke about life, ate nice food and recorded some cool stuff. He was always so supportive of my own music and various bands over the years and his wisdom and knowledge about the music industry was so appreciated! We hope that the work we do with young people and adults long into the future here at Erskine Arts will continue the long lasting impact that Steve brought to my life.
