Story
Schools are closed and once again fundraising needs to be put on hold or does it?
We all know how good exercise is for us all but sometimes we need a bit of a nudge to get us going especially at this time of year in the midst of a lockdown. The children are also missing their friends and sense of community whilst not at school and we wanted to create something that could combine all of this.
So, we have created the ST. GEORGE'S VIRTUAL SUPERHERO CHALLENGE. St. George's children and their families are once again taking up the challenge, either by cycling, walking, scooting or running (or a combination of all of them) a distance of 15 miles, 25 miles, 50 miles or if they're feeling really energetic 100 miles which we hope, as a school, will cover over 5,000miles! Over the month of February.
Please do sponsor what you can to show the St. George's Super Children what a fantastic thing they are all doing for their school community to raise vital funds for the school.
These are just some of the projects the school needs us to raise funds for, none of which are covered by the school budget. They can only be achieved through fundraising. Any money sponsored will go towards these projects:
- Smart board (£3,000) for the new STEM room.
- New laptops and Ipads across all year groups (£3,000)
- 15 new 3-wheeler bikes for Early Years (£4,500)
- We have just funded the Maths Seeds and Reading Eggs subscriptions (£1,550) which children are using whilst home learning and will continue to use in the classroom when they go back.
We really appreciate your support, thank-you.
