Story

Help us re-open St Helens! We are raising funds to repair structural damage to walls. and roof.

St Helen's is a much-loved church in Dry Sandford, Oxfordshire, and the focal point for a wider community. For more than 160 years, generations of school children at two local schools have attended services beneath its soaring stone arch. Its walls have witnessed hundreds of weddings, baptisms and funerals, as well as countless Sunday devotions.

Community events - such as Remembrance Day, Harvest Festival, Plant Sales, Annual BBQ - have helped foster feelings of charity, fellowship and cohesion.

Tragically, the church is now closed because of a fall of masonry. The damage is structural and the sad fact is that if we do nothing, we will lose the building.

Please help this campaign to repair this fine building and, in doing so, support our vision to open up this space for more community events, providing a special place for generations to come. Every penny you donate goes toward the restoration project.

About the charity

We are a small, faith-based community set in a Victorian Anglican Church in rural Oxfordshire raising funds for major wall & roof repairs. We provided a sacred place for Christian worship, celebrations & memorials along with a close association to 2 local schools.
