Music is an important part of St John's school. Learning a stringed instrument has been offered by the school for many many years. A recent change to local authority provision has meant the school can no longer hire instruments. The only option, if lessons were to continue, was to buy our own. The PA has agreed to fund the purchase of the violins and so we are looking for your support in reaching our goal. The children at St John's love their music lessons. Learning the violin is only a small part of the musical curriculum but so valuable to the children to experience classical music and not see it as an "elite" area of culture.
