Story
Stop Foodborne Illness (STOP) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing illness and death from foodborne pathogens through education, advocacy, and victim support. With the help of generous and passionate individuals like you, we’re educating consumers, driving change, and working to ensure no one else suffers from a preventable foodborne illness.
Each year in the U.S. an estimated 3,000 people die from foodborne illnesses; their lives cut short by bacteria and viruses that too often go unchecked in our food system.
In recognition of Food Safety Education Month this September, we're launching our fifth annual STOP3000 campaign. Our goal: raise $50,000 to help amplify the voices of those impacted by foodborne illness and to fuel critical programs that promote a culture of food safety across the country.
Everyone who donates or fundraises over $50 will receive exclusive swag designed by artist Kyle Kolomore, created especially for STOP3000 supporters.
Together, we can give those 3,000 silenced voices the attention they deserve and prevent future tragedy. Join us!
