Clean water is a gift so many Australians take for granted. Yet it is something many rural and remote villages in Myanmar lack. Thanks to you, this can change. You can help more families have easily accessible clean water like this grandmother who said:
“I am so happy that I don’t have to carry water again, and I am no longer tired. I enjoy using fresh water each day, taking a bath, and having water for washing, drinking and cooking.”
ABM AID's partner, the Church of the Province of Myanmar (CPM) uses a sustainable, community-led process that sees the community working together to address the identified problem. Education, training and practical support enable the community to identify and use their own skills while providing the missing pieces of the solution. As a result, diseases caused by unclean water are now less common, children can focus on education and parents can grow more food and spend more time on income generating activities rather than finding and transporting water.
