Story

Strathallan's distinctive feel and ethos stems from our founder, Harry Riley's vision of a more inclusive education that focuses on drawing out the talent and ability from a broad intake of pupils rather that the selection of only the most intellectually and academically gifted children.

An emphasis on developing individuals to aspire beyond the limitation of preconceived attainment levels was something Harry Riley advocated and pursued through the attention given to all his pupils. Riley was clear that Strathallan pupils would be known for themselves, would become better versions of themselves, resilient, confident and more able to contribute to the creation of a better society once they had left the School behind. This still matters today and it is what makes Strathallan such a special place.

Bursaries help us to provide support to children from homes of modest means and ensure access to the life changing educational opportunity Strathallan provides.

Strathallan is a co-educational, boarding and day school for children ages 9 - 18. We provide an inclusive education providing opportunities for every child to excel. We nurture talent in academics, sport and in the arts and ensure an all-round education is available to every child. At Strathallan we believe that every talented child should be able to access the education we provide and its associated benefits. We provide a number of means-tested bursaries to enable this.
