Working with talented dancers and choreographers at Martins Dance School, our learner dancers receive 10 hours of private dance tuition and practice, practice, practice to perfect their routine. On Saturday 12th November 2022, our Strictly stars will take to the dance floor at The Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool to be in with a chance of being crowned King or Queen of the Ballroom and lift the coveted Glitterball Trophy!
Thank you so much for your generosity and support of our Strictly Ballroom stars, which in turn allows us to support those affected by lung cancer.
About us
The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only charity in the UK wholly dedicated to defeating lung cancer one of the biggest global health problems, claiming more lives than any other cancer in the UK.
With around 48,000 new cases diagnosed each year, the outlook for lung cancer patients is extremely poor, it has the worst survival rate of all cancers. Almost 80% of patients die within the first year following diagnosis and shockingly, one in three will die within the first 90 days.
Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation aims to:
Prevent people dying from lung cancer by:
Promoting and funding research into the early detection of lung cancer
Raising public awareness of the signs and symptoms of lung cancer and the importance of early detection
Working with NHS England to increase uptake of life saving lung health checks
Campaigning for better outcomes for lung cancer patients.
Improve the lives of those affected by the disease by:
Promoting and funding research into patient experience
Providing patient relief grants
Offering nurse-led telephone and online support
Providing specialist information resources to patients and the NHS
