Story

Join us for "Stride for Survivors," a charity walk aimed at raising awareness and funds for survivors of sexual assault trauma. The event will be organised by Jersey Action Against Rape, dedicated to providing essential sexual assault trauma counselling for survivors in our community. Embracing the colour purple, a symbol of courage and support, participants will walk along the scenic avenues of Jersey, demonstrating solidarity and promoting vital support services for survivors.

Event Details:

Title: Stride for Survivors Charity Walk

Date: 6th July 2024

Time: 10am

Location: Jersey Avenue Layby 1 to St Aubins and back.

Theme: Purple (Participants are encouraged to wear purple attire)

Distance: 6 miles

Purpose: Raise funds and awareness for sexual assault trauma counselling for survivors.

Event Highlights:

Community Unity: Come together with friends, family, and supporters to show solidarity with survivors of sexual assault.

Empowerment: By participating, you're directly contributing to the empowerment and healing journey of survivors.

Awareness: Raise public awareness about the importance of sexual assault trauma counselling and support services.

Support Network: Build a supportive network within the community, emphasising the importance of standing with survivors.

Impact: Every step taken and every donation made will have a profound impact on the lives of survivors.

Participant Guidelines:

Registration: Register online www.jaar.je or on-site before the event.

Attire: Wear purple to show support for survivors.

Safety: Follow safety guidelines provided by event organisers.

Fundraising: Encourage participants to raise funds through personal networks and sponsorships.

Social Media: Share your journey on social media using #StrideForSurvivors to amplify the cause.
