Story
Young people who experience homelessness are more likely to experience it later in life too. Our purpose is to break this cycle.
This September, we’re calling on walkers and runners to take on the challenge of traveling a collective 1000km to represent the distance from Aberdeen to Penzance – our northern-and-southernmost Youth Foyers.
Together, we’re aiming to raise £10,000 – £10 for every km moved! – for young people who can’t live at home.

How we’re breaking the cycle of youth homelessness:
We work with youth supported housing providers to transform their services into Youth Foyers. Youth Foyers are more than a place to stay: they are thriving communities, with people – not circumstance – at the heart.
They work with young people to build on their strengths, talents and aspirations; realise their power and purpose; and move on in life equipped to thrive as independent adults.
“The work Youth Foyers do makes a difference - helping young people stop feeling like a weed in an overgrown garden but to feel like a flower growing in a beautiful one.” - Ethan, Young Person from On Route Foyer
