Purple Day 2024

In the past 21 years, over 21,000 people with epilepsy have died suddenly and died too young. SUDEP Action’s Prevent21 campaign shines a light on this shocking disaster. With a significant change of attitude, culture, and action towards epilepsy - many lives CAN be saved. Knowledge saves lives.

Story

Celebrated annually on March 26, Purple Day aims to increase public understanding of epilepsy. Cassidy Megan from Canada founded the first event in 2008 to help others to understand more about epilepsy.

At SUDEP Action, we work hard to help people with epilepsy live as safely as possible, and to be here for the suddenly bereaved. Without the dedication of people like you, and your support for campaigns like Purple Day, we could not keep pushing forward to give people with epilepsy all the information they need to make the best, most informed choices.

So thank you!
