During the last 12 months BDMLR has cared for over 60 seal pups at their seal facility in Suffolk, supported by Whitworth Veterinary Practice who provide veterinary care, before the pups can move on to a full rehabilitation centre. With the increase of seal rescues in Suffolk and surrounding areas, we now have the need to upgrade our facility for the welfare of BDMLR volunteers and the animals under their care. We are looking to raise £25,000 to enable us to have the new unit set up prior to the common seal pup season which starts around July.
