Summer Holidays Support for Buckingham

For thousands of children, a free school meal is the most reliable meal of their day. But when the summer holidays arrive, that meal disappears for six long weeks — and the cost of feeding a family lands squarely back on parents who are already stretched.

For local families on the lowest incomes, that gap is frightening. Six weeks is a long time to find an extra meal a day, every day, for a growing child. Some parents skip their own food so their children don't go without. No family in Buckingham should have to make that choice.

Who we are...

Impact Buckingham is a volunteer-run charity working to relieve poverty and hardship among families in Buckingham and the surrounding area. You may know us for our Christmas Festive Boxes, which we deliver each December to local families with children on free school meals.

This year, we're stepping up to meet a need that doesn't take a holiday.

What we're doing this summer...

This summer, we're extending our support beyond Christmas for the first time — providing food to local families through the entire school break, so children who rely on free school meals don't go without while school's out.
