Story
As we speed towards summer and the hottest months of the year, it is both a nerve wracking and precarious situation to be in. We have rescued many in need during this last year of worldwide lockdown, but our bills have not slowed down; in fact it's been a year like no other for emergency medical cases, litters of puppies and kittens and road accidents.
We have sadly not been able to hold any of our large fundraisers, which usually sees us getting people together and raising much needed funds. It is this time of year that we almost double the cost of our overheads as the desert heat means it is imperative to have air-conditioning, and the generator guzzles fuel.
On top of our shelter running costs, we always find this time of year the most cruel for strays, and their chances of survival are severely impacted by the direct sun, intense heat and lack of water to be found.
We thank all who have helped keep us keep going through these testing times, our community is amazing and without your support, much of what has been achieved could not be possible. But we ask you again to help us get through these punishing summer months, and keep doing what we do to help as many animals as we possibly can.
It take a global village to do what we do...with fosters, adopters, those who generously support with donations, and those who visit. It means the world to the animals, and everything we all do is for them. Thank you for making this work possible
