This September, we are planning to climb Mount Kilimanjaro- the tallest free- standing mountain in the world. It is going to be a tough challenge. So why are we doing this? We like a challenge; we like to stretch ourselves and experience new things.
We are extremely fortunate to be able to do this trip self-funded, meaning that we can use this trip to raise funds for the St. Mirren FC Charitable Foundation and help those less fortunate in our community, with 100% of the money raised going towards Charitable Foundation initiatives.
Well, it is amazing charity – and they run so many fantastic programmes covering mental health, fitness, kids holiday camps, ASN football, Alzheimer’s support groups, food programmes and many more. The Foundation makes a real difference in our local community and like all charities – they need continuous donations to help support those in need.
We believe that Paisley Buddies should stick together and help each other out. We are connected by a common bond of shared experiences.
If you have ever had a drink in The Lane, or a bag of chips from Castelvecchi’s, witnessed cup wins, relegations, and the heartbreak of St Mirren conceding a last-minute equaliser, then these experiences have been shared by your family, friends, and neighbours.
However, everybody needs help at some point in their life and that is what the St Mirren FC Charitable Foundation does. It helps those in need. It helps our friends, family, and neighbours. No questions asked and unconditionally.
We would like to play our part in helping our community and appreciate all our fellow buddies support and generosity.
