As with last year, with the safety of our supporters, staff and volunteers in mind, we're not able to do our Sunrise Walk as we usually would, but we still want you all to get involved with what is always one of the loveliest events of the year - where we all come together and remember our loved ones.

As we can't all get together on one specific day this year, we want you to choose any morning throughout September and take in the beautiful sunrise however you like. Whether you want to walk around Scarborough sea front as we usually would do, or you'd like to do something different like enjoy the sunrise on Bridlington or Whitby pier or even go out for an early bike ride - we just want you to take part with us!

Everyone who signs up is eligible for a FREE ice-cream or soft drink from the Harbour Bar on Sandside, just simply show confirmation of your sign up at the window and mention Sunrise Walk!

As we can't get printed t-shirts to you or physically host an event for you, there is no sign up fee for the event this year. But, as always, if you can make a donation or raise sponsorship as part of the event then we would be very grateful and all that you can give will be going direct to patient care at Saint Catherine's.

We'd love to see any pictures you take on the day that you decide to get out for a sunrise, so please use #SunriseWalk2021 and tag us in any uploads you make to social media and then we can share them on our channels!

It would also be great to see as many of you as possible wearing t-shirts from previous years, but if you don't have one then wearing something purple or orange is just as good! Fancy dress is also encouraged!

We really hope that you'll come together with us for this year's Sunrise Walk - together we can make a real difference for those in our area living with a terminal illness.
